Advent is a time of preparation and waiting for the birth of Jesus.
During Advent, we prepare through special assemblies, prayer and liturgy, prayer spaces, reflection time and various activities.
This year (2021/22) we have had to make some changes to the way we normally celebrate Advent due to Covid-19.
Whole School Prayer & Liturgy is now via ZOOM or in Key Stages.
We were delighted that this year our Christmas EYFS and KS1 Nativity Plays were able to go ahead after they were cancelled last year.
Our Advent Prayer spaces were enjoyed by everyone and all classes made their own Advent Wreath.

ADVENT 2019
Our ‘Travelling Nativity’ was done slightly differently this year. We sent home ‘disposable’ sets for the children to create and tell the story with. We loved seeing their pictures of their work.
The children in EYFS and KS1 take home ‘Travelling Nativity’ sets which they share at home with their families.
During Advent, the children visit a range of prayer faces that invite them to reflect spiritually.
KS2 lead us in a beautiful Carol Service where they tell the story of Christmas through music.
EYFS and KS1 lead us in wonderful Nativity Plays which again tell the Christmas story in a very special way.
